ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee)

  • At Arizona we believe in strong parent-school relationships. As such, we support these relationships through an equally strong ELAC (English Language Advisory Committee). Our ELAC holds the following responsibilities.

     

    Advising the principal and staff on programs and services for English learners and the School Site Council on the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).

     

    Assist the school in the development of:

    o   The school's needs assessment.

    o   The school's annual language census.

    o   Ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.

     

    We invite everyone to attend our ELAC meetings and strongly encourage full participation. We will be meeting on the 3rd Monday of each month at 8:30am. A calendar will be provided with all dates and times. We look forward to seeing you!
