Arizona Family Picnic!  Friday, November 14^th: During your Child’s Lunch

• 6th Grade Lunch:10:21am-10:56am    
• 7th Grade Lunch:11:22am-11:57am    
• 8th Grade Lunch:  12:23-12:58pm

• Bring your child's favorite lunch and come enjoy lunch with them. All Parents and Family are Welcome! 

**Parents and Visitors MUST bring an I.D. to enter campus.  **Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your child's lunch to check-in.

*During each lunch, we will also have an Optional Parent Meeting with the Counselors.  At the meeting, you will be able to meet the counselors and get some important information about how you can start preparing your child for College.

Arizona Saturday Academy – Saturday, December 6^th – 8:00am-12:00pm

• By attending your child can Make-Up one (1) absence or earn an absence credit to be used so that a future absence does not count against their attendance record.

• 8^th Grade Universal Studios Field Trip – January
• Students MUST meet the requirements below to Attend the Above Events:
  • Arizona Student Grade Level Expectations:
    • Attain at least a 2.0 (“C”) Grade Point Average. (and)
    • No Failing grades (“F” grade) in ELA, Math, Science, or History; and No more than one failing grade in Physical Education or Elective classes.
  • No Major Discipline Infractions
  • Attendance: Only 1 Absence or less from November 4^th- Dec. 18^th

 

 

Short-Term Independent Study

• If you know in advance that your child will be absent for two or more days, please call our attendance office so we can place them on a Short Term Independent Studies contract.
• This Contract allows your child’s absences to be cleared so they do not count against their attendance.  Your child would just need to complete any assignments they missed while they were absent.

 

 

City of Riverside’s Safe Routes to School Parent Survey

• The City of Riverside is conducting a Safe Routes to School Project which promotes walking, bicycling, or rolling to school.  
• The Project includes a Parent Survey on how your child gets to school each day.

• Arizona Middle School is a State Recognized Platinum PBIS School (Highest Level) that is committed to creating an environment of success for all students. We want to promote- a positive, safe, and consistent environment for all students by explicitly teaching behavioral expectations, regularly recognizing positive behavior, and providing support.
