School Information:

September Attendance Awareness Month!

• September is Attendance Awareness Month and we would like to focus on having each student at school every single day!  Data has shown that students that are at school every day, get better grades and are far less likely to fall behind academically.  This month, let’s strive to have Perfect Attendance!

Perfect Attendance Competition: (Sept. 8^th through Oct. 3^rd) - Movie Party

• Students that have Perfect Attendance (No Absences from Any periods) from Monday, Sept. 8th through Friday, Oct. 3^rd will get to attend the Grade Level Perfect Attendance Movie Party on Oct. 9^th or Oct. 10^th during school.
• Students with Perfect Attendance will be able to watch a Movie and get Ice Cream!
• Only students with Perfect Attendance from 9/8-10/3 Can Attend (No Absences From Any Period)

Arizona Saturday Academy – Saturday, September 13^th  – 8:00am-12:00pm

• Registration Permission Slips are Due to the Main Office by Friday, Sept. 5th
• By attending your child can Make-Up one (1) absence, so they can attend the Perfect Attendance Movie Party.

Welcome Back Dance: Thursday, Sept. 4^th – 3:00pm-5:00pm (Arizona Main Quad)

• Tickets can be purchased ($5.00) during lunch or before school in the Main Quad.
  • **Last Day to Purchase Tickets is before school on Thursday, Sept. 4^th.
• Students Must Turn-In the Signed Permission Slip to Attend – Click Here to View the Permission Slip
• Dance Pick-Up Instructions:
  • Please arrive No later than 5:00pm to pick-up your students.
  • Students may not leave the dance early unless a parent comes to the main office with identification.
• In order to attend Dances, Field Trips, Movie Days, Semester Fun Days, etc:
  • Students MUST meet the requirements below:
    • Arizona Student Grade Level Expectations & No Major Discipline Infractions
      • Attain at least a 2.0 (“C”) Grade Point Average. (and)
      • No Failing grades (“F” grade) in ELA, Math, Science, or History; and No more than one failing grade in Physical Education or Elective classes.

Arizona PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)

• Arizona Middle School is a State Recognized PLATNIUM PBIS School that is committed to creating an environment of success for all students. We want to promote- a positive, safe, and consistent environment for all students by explicitly teaching behavioral expectations, regularly recognizing positive behavior, and providing support.

• On the Club Meeting Dates, students will check-in immediately after school, they will receive a snack, and then proceed to their club.

Registration/Data Confirmation for the 25-26 School Year

• **All Registration/Data Confirmation will be completed Online.

• **All Students Must Complete the Online Registration/Data Confirmation before students may view their 25-26 Class Schedule.

• 7^th Grade: Students Entering 7^th Grade:
  • Before entering 7^th grade, students must have received the Tdap or DTaP (whooping cough) vaccination after the age of 7. 
  • Proof of Tdap or DTaP vaccination is required in order for 7^th grade students to register.
